Creating and configuring a DDNS on No-IP
DDNS is a system used to maintain a hostname with an updated IP address. It is recommended for networks that do not have a fixed public IP address, so that the hostname will always update to the public IP address from which it is receiving queries.
The DDNS update configuration must be done using the account and Hostname. In this article, we will show you how to create an account and Hostname using No-IP.
If you have a MikroTik, you don't need to use No-IP. Here's how to use MikroTik's native function.
If you have purchased Lumiun DNS Pro or Education, we can provide you with a free DDNS hostname. Contact support to request it.

That's it! The saved information is important to enter into the equipment that will keep your public IP updated.
To keep the Hostname up to date
This information must be entered into a device so that your public IP address remains up to date. The most common use is in routers, in the DDNS or Dynamic DNS option.
In addition to the router, you can use a client provided by No-IP, called DUC (Dynamic DNS Update Client). The client is installed on your computer (Windows, Linux, or MAC) and configured with your credentials and hostname. After configuring DUC, the hostname will be updated to the public IP address of the connection where the computer is connected.
