Safe search on Lumiun DNS
How to enable Safe Search in the Lumiun DNS Panel and examples of use
Lumiun DNS's Safe Search allows you to enable Google, Bing, and DuckDuckGo's SafeSearch features, as well as YouTube's Restricted Mode, in order to filter inappropriate content during searches performed on these engines.
When this feature is enabled, results related to adult content, explicit language, pornography, and inappropriate images and videos are automatically hidden, promoting a safer browsing environment — especially in schools and corporate environments.
How it works
- Google, Bing, and DuckDuckGo: They use a feature called SafeSearch, which hides results deemed inappropriate.
- YouTube: It uses Restricted Mode, which filters videos not recommended for minors based on criteria such as language, cover image, and description.
Note: With Safe Search enabled in a Lumiun DNS policy, it is not possible to disable this restriction directly in the browser. Any changes must be made exclusively by the network administrator through the Lumiun DNS panel.
How to enable or disable SafeSearch
- Access the Lumiun DNS Panel.
- Select the desired policy.
- Scroll down to the Safe Search section and enable or disable the options as desired.
