How to disable Avast Real Site Protection to prevent DNS interception by Avast
Avast Premium Security antivirus has a feature called Avast Real Site Protection, which interferes with your computer's DNS traffic. If you want to use a security solution involving DNS, you must disable Avast Real Site Protection.
Open Avast antivirus by double-clicking on its icon next to the Windows clock.
Click Protection and then Real Site.

Click the switch next to Real Site to turn it off, then select Until I turn it on again.

Confirm by clicking OK, STOP button

Now Avast Real Site Protection will be disabled and you can close the Avast Premium Security window.
