Configuring Windows DNS Server to use Lumiun DNS

This configuration will cause Windows DNS Server to forward DNS requests to Lumiun DNS.

This configuration will cause Windows DNS Server to forward DNS requests to Lumiun DNS, using the traditional DNS protocol on port 53, also known as DNS53 or Do53.

Vínculo do IP da sua conexão internet com o seu Local no Lumiun DNS

If your internet connection has a fixed public IP address, you do not need to use No-IP. Simply link the IP address to your Site in the Lumiun DNS panel.

  1. Create an account and a hostname on the No-IP service. If you have any questions, see the article How to create an account and a DDNS hostname on No-IP.
  2. Link your No-IP hostname to your site in the Lumiun DNS panel.

If you have purchased Lumiun DNS Pro or Education, we can provide you with a free DDNS hostname. Contact support to request it.

Configuring your Windows DNS Server

  1. Access the DNS configuration on your server.

  2. In DNS Manager, click on the server name, then click on Forwarders.

  3. Click Edit, delete the current records, and fill in the respective DNS servers for your site, located on the sites page, dns_server_1 and dns_server_2 respectively.

  4. Click OK.

That's it! You can now view reports on your Lumiun DNS dashboard and also define policy rules.
